CAF Minnesota Wing Memorial Garden

The Commemorative Air Force Minnesota Wing invites you to help create a memorial garden to honor, recognize and remember your friends and loved ones who served in the Armed Forces or assisted in our Country’s time of need. There are three donation options available which will accommodate any price range. By working together, we can build on every donation, large and small, to create a tranquil memorial garden to honor our loved ones. This memorial garden is a permanent place for the entire community to visit and remember those who gave so much to keep us free, to enjoy for years to come. 
There are three donation choices: 
  • Engraved Memorial Paver Stones 
  • Adopt a Tree - Only Two Left!
  • General Memorial Donations

Engraved Memorial Paver Stones

Adopt-A-Tree Program
​Purchase a paver stone that will form the formal walking area of the Memorial Garden. Your loved ones name and  a sentiment will be etched on the stone.  Contributors will be notified by email and mail of the date of the ceremony. There is a nominal donation of $200 for each paver brick.

There are a limited number of opportunities to  honor a loved one by funding the care and maintenance of a Memorial Garden tree.  The trees are preplaced and  a part of a landscape design. You are invited to request a tour of the  Garden to view trees available for the Adopt -A -Tree   Program.    A memorial plaque will be placed on or near the  adopted tree.

​The one-time donation for adopting a tree to honor your friend or loved is $300.

General Memorial And Butterfly Garden Donations

​Another option is to make a donation, in amount, to fund ongoing support and maintenance of the garden. The Butterfly Garden is at the East end of the Memorial Garden.  By adopting one of our plants, you’ll be  helping restore the communities Monarch Butterfly  and Bee population. Our garden is pesticide free! Your generous gift will ensure that the entire community can continue to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the Memorial Garden.

Donation Conditions

Paver Stone Conditions: Location requests will be honored if possible, but the  location must be in keeping with the Garden’s master plan. Final determination of where the stone will be placed will be made by the CAF MN Wing. Donors are responsible for filling out the form to identify what information they want on the stone. There are spacing requirements to ensure your message fits on the stone provided.

Tree Donation Conditions: The tree will be maintained by the CAF MN Wing until it dies or becomes a hazard. If for any reason the adopted tree must be removed from the garden, the donor will be given the opportunity, at no additional cost, to adopt another memorial tree. If the tree must be moved, the donor will be notified of the new location. The  memorial plaque will be moved with the tree.

Adopt A Tree

You are invited to request a tour of the Garden to view trees available for the Adopt-A-Tree Program. You may also request to see the plan of the garden and pick your trees placement from our design.

A memorial plaque will be placed on or near to the adopted tree with words similar to the following:  “The care of this tree is being provided by ________________in memory of_______________________________________.” (name of honoree and relationship to donor, if desired)

The one time nominal donation for adopting a tree to honor a special friend or loved one is $300.

In addition to the plaque all donations will be acknowledged by a letter of appreciation from the CAF MN Wing and be mentioned on our website and our Facebook page.
