Cancellation policy
While we never intend to, we reserve the right to cancel any flight at the Pilot-In-Command’s discretion.
These reasons include, but are not limited to:
- Weather conditions – We restrict the operation to Visual Flight Rules (VFR) conditions. If weather is a factor, you will be notified by email or phone depending on when your flight is.
- Maintenance – Unfortunately, sometimes things break, and we may need to delay, postpone, or cancel a flight until maintenance can fix a problem.
- Seat requirements - Sometimes the minimum number of seats to economically operate the aircraft for a given flight aren’t sold. First, we’ll try to move you to another flight, but that may not always be possible. We do ask for your consideration if this occurs. We are a non-profit organization and rely on sales and donations to operate each flight. If we have to cancel due to not selling enough seats, you will be refunded.
Requirements
- Smoking is prohibited on the aircraft ramp.
- A liability release must be completed and signed before boarding. You can complete this form online at: www.holdharmless.org
- Passengers must be 12 years of age or older.
- Youth, ages 12-17, must have a legal guardian present at check-in to sign the release form.
- Passengers must attend a pre-flight safety briefing before boarding. There will be crew members to assist you in boarding, securing seat belts, and answering any questions that you might have.
- For your safety and protection, all passengers should wear long pants, as the metal interior of our aircraft can become quite hot, even on mild days. Closed-toed shoes are highly recommended, and should be worn for safety purposes, in addition to helping prevent possible injury while entering and exiting the aircraft.
Waiting in the Wing Wings Book Author Meet and Greet: Lee Burtman
Join us for an Author Meet and Greet and book signing! The event is free and goes from 10am until 5pm.
Title: “Waiting in the Wings: Arming the Bomb in a World Gone M.A.D.”
Author: Lee Burtman writes the little-known stories of our American heroes, so that we may know, remember, and honor their sacrifices. She is a retired Minnesota educator, wife, and mother of four grown children and eight grandchildren. Book profits support her passions—the DAV, Mercy Ships, Samaritan’s Purse, and Shepherds Foundation, which serves children with disabilities and adults with war injuries overseas.
Description: A forgotten boy. A forgotten war. An unforgettable true story. During his final days of life, 83-year-old veteran, Neal Tusler, discloses the smoldering pain of childhood abandonment and betrayal after being dumped in a Minneapolis orphanage during the Great Depression. He also exposes his top- secret role as a crewman of the B-36 “Peacemaker” bomber, tasked with nuclear deterrence and forcing an end to the Korean War. Lastly, he reconciles with the estranged daughter whose probing evoked those long-buried memories.
Other titles by this author:
“Fighting For Delphine: A Soldier’s True Story of Triumph and Tears”
”Return to Fenetrange”
A portion of each book sold will be donated to the museum!
